Difference between Heat Pump and Refrigerator
A Heat Pump is similar to a Refrigerator. The main difference between the Heat Pump and a Refrigerator is that their operating temperatures.
A heat pump takes heat from a lower temperature at a source and rejecting heat to the high temperature, with the help of some energy input in the form of work. And a Refrigerator takes high temperature and rejecting heat at Low temperature. It means heat pumps are used for keeping things hot and A refrigerator used for keeping things cold.

Heat pumps moves thermal energy in the opposite direction of spontaneous heat transfer , by observing the heat from a cold space and releasing it to a warmer one.. Refrigerator : A refrigerator is a machine for keeping things cold. A refrigerator consists of a thermally insulated compartment and also a heat pump that transfer the heat from the inside of the body( fridge) to its external environment so that the inside of the fridge is cooled to a temperature bellow the room temperature.

Difference between Heat Pump and Refrigerator:
There are the following some differences between the Heat pump and Refrigerator.
1. Transfer of heat: The main purpose of the heat pump is to heat the room during winter seasons or when the atmospheric temperature is very low . it absorbs the heat from the atmosphere which is at low temperature and throws it to the room which is it at high temperature and which is to be heated.
And the other side the Refrigerator main purpose is to chill or cold freeze substances, by maintaining very low temperature in the freezer. It absorbs the heat from the freezer or evaporator and throws it to the atmosphere which is at high temperature.
2. Location of the Evaporator: In the Heat Pump the evaporator is located outside of the room which is to be heated. The evaporator absorbs the heat, which is later thrown inside the room for heating.
In the refrigerator the evaporator is located in the freezer section. The evaporator absorbs the heat from the substance, which is to be cooled.
3. Location of the Condenser: In the heat pump the condenser is located inside the room and it acts as the heating device.
In the refrigerator the condenser is located outside of the refrigerator and it is exposed to the atmosphere. It is through the condenser that the heat is thrown to the atmosphere.
4. Working of Evaporator and Condenser: In the heat pump , it is the condenser that perform the main function of heating the room, while the evaporator performs the function of absorbing the heat from the atmosphere.
In the Refrigerator the evaporator performs the main function of chilling or freezing, while the condenser performs the function of delivering the heat to the atmosphere.
